Hi, my name is Samie Garcia and I am a Gamecock Cuban/Navajo American Indian young woman from Los Angeles,CA. I have two older sisters and a twin brother. I am a former softball player here at USC and I am currently the graduate assistant for the softball program. In May 2014, I graduated from USC with my Bachelors in Sport and Entertainment Management. My last two summers has been spent playing professional softball in the National Professional Fastpitch league. In April 2013, I was drafted to the NY/NJ Comets and this summer I will be playing my third season in the NPF with the Pennsylvania Rebellion.
Unfortunately I will not be able to play professional softball for very long because it just doesn't pay enough money, so I have decided to continue my education by earning my Masters in Education Technology. I am very passionate about teaching young softball athletes on how to improve their game and I am also very excited to learn how to implement technology into doing so.
